Bio

Pierrette Ayotte retired from the State of Maine after a 28-year career. Twelve years included working for the Department of Public Safety at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, ending as the Training Coordinator for Basic Corrections. The last 12 years of her State career were with the Maine Department of Corrections, first as a Training Coordinator, then as the Director of Staff Training and Development. Pierrette was also an adjunct instructor for Thomas College for 9 years where she taught in their Criminal Justice program. She is currently an adjunct instructor at the University of Maine Augusta, where she teaches in the Justice Studies program and has for over ten years. Pierrette holds a Master’s degree in Education.
