The University of Maine at Augusta has distinguished itself by offering top-quality, award-winning degree programs designed for today’s workplace. UMA offers 41 degree programs, of which 28 are available completely online. Our 22 baccalaureate programs include numerous opportunities for concentration within a major. Associate degrees in 11 different programs as well as 44 minors and 49 certificate programs are also available.

With a low public tuition rate for Maine residents, great financial aid packages, and numerous scholarships, you’ll pay much less to finish your degree at UMA than at other schools. The University of Maine at Augusta is committed to providing affordable access to a university education, and help students manage the growing costs of a college education.

Pine Tree State Pledge

Tuition Guarantee for Qualified Maine Students

Through this tuition guarantee program, qualified and eligible entering in-state, full-time first-year students will not pay any out-of-pocket expenses for tuition (regular UMA tuition and differential tuition) and mandatory fees. This program is also available to new in-state full-time and part-time transfer students who have earned at least 30 transferable credits, and are new to the University of Maine System.

UMA 10k Scholarship

Four Years of Support for Qualified Students

Through this scholarship program, qualified and eligible entering full-time students will receive $10,000 over the course of four years.

Eligible students who successfully complete a minimum of 24 UMA credits each aid year and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA at the end of each semester will receive the UMA $10K scholarship.
