Start your career in one of healthcare’s most essential roles. The MLT program trains you to perform the diagnostic tests clinicians depend on — with hands-on sim lab training, statewide lecture access, and a supervised hospital practicum.

Bachelor of Science

Already an ASCP-certified MLT? This fully online completion program is designed to advance your credentials without stepping away from your career. No campus visits, no additional clinical rotations — just the education you’ve earned your way toward.

- Certified MLTs with an associate degree
- Working lab professionals seeking advancement
- Anyone pursuing MLS Board of Certification and leadership roles

The MLT and MLS programs are collaborative efforts between the University of Maine at Augusta and the University of Maine at Presque Isle, developed in partnership with hospital laboratories across the state. Clinical affiliates provide supervised practicum placements that connect students directly to Maine’s healthcare community.
