Since you can’t come to campus, we invite you to learn more about UMA by joining our live virtual information sessions. Hosted by our counselors, these sessions enable prospective students and applicants to connect with us face to face using an online platform:

Join members of the Admissions Team for a 60-minute information session designed for prospective students, applicants and newly accepted students. In these Virtual Walk-in information sessions, you will meet with Admissions staff and a UMA Student Ambassador who will provide insight and advice as you explore UMA and navigate the application process. These sessions will also provide you the opportunity to engage with others and ask any questions you might have.

Where:

From the comfort of your own living room, bedroom or remote learning hotspot. We will be using Zoom – it’s easy and free to access from your laptop, desktop or mobile device!

What we will discuss:

  • Academic programming
  • Locations and modalities
  • Student life, clubs and athletics
  • Housing
  • Student success resources
  • Financial aid overview
  • Application Process
  • How to communicate with us in our remote working environment
  • Open Q&A from attendees

Who should attend:

Our student demographic is diverse so high school students, transfer students, first-time adult learners and returning UMA students are encouraged to attend.

How to attend:

Although we will have a planned program, we want these sessions to reflect UMA’s flexible walk-in policy and allow you the ability to join without the hassle of a registration! Remember to join during our scheduled times!

The UMA Admissions team will be dedicating time each day, Monday-Friday from 2pm – 3pm to Maine Community College transfer students for appointments. If you are interested in transferring from one of the Maine Community Colleges or have already started the process, please reach out to Jeremy Bouford, Recruitment Coordinator, at jeremy.bouford@maine.edu to schedule an appointment.
