Veterans in Recovery: Voices of Hope – The Rugged Road to Recovery

Join the VA Suicide Prevention Team and Substance Use Disorder Treatment Team in the Farber Forum for a special screening of the PBS episode “Veterans in Recovery: Voices of Hope – The Rugged Road to Recovery.”

Following the episode, Ed Walsh, LCSW, U.S. Army (Retired) and UMA alumnus, will facilitate an open discussion on recovery and resources. Veterans will share their perspectives on topics including:

  • Transitioning from military to civilian life

  • Rebuilding and reconnecting with loved ones

  • Recovery from mental health and substance use disorders

  • Finding overall well-being

This event embodies the spirit of empowerment and resilience, offering an opportunity to connect with stories of triumph over adversity. Light refreshments will be provided.
