Earth Day Photo Scavenger Hunt

Monday, April 18th to Monday,  April 25th

The Office of Student Life is holding a virtual photo scavenger hunt to celebrate! Submit photos for all 15 of the Earth Day-themed objects (i.e., animals, gardens, recyclables, etc.) to the form below for a chance to win an eco-friendly prize! The scavenger hunt form will open on Monday, April 18th, and close on April 25th.

Open to all UMA students and employees. Happy hunting!

Save our Earth, Make it Green!

Wednesday, April 20, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, Randall Student Center Foyer

Join UMA Student Life to pot seed/seedlings in celebration of Earth Day! All UMA community members who attend will receive a biodegradable pot, potting soil, and seeds/seedlings of their choice. UMA Professor and Community Garden Leader Dr. James Cook will be there to help plant and answer any planting or gardening questions you may have. We hope to see you there!


UMA Volunteer Day

Friday, April 22, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, UMA Augusta and Bangor Campuses

The UMA Community is invited to participate on either the Augusta or Bangor Campus (those at UMA Centers should check with UMA Center Directors for details at their locations). Activities may include raking/mulching, picking up debris, and other outdoor projects.

Lunch provided!

RSVP by end of business on April 15.

  • 9:00 am – Report to assigned location and obtain necessary materials.
  • Noon – Enjoy lunch: Augusta at the Randall Student Center / Bangor at Huskins Lounge
