Academic Success is seeking faculty support in identifying students who would be strong peer tutors for upcoming semesters.
Peer tutors play an important role in helping fellow students understand course material, strengthen study skills, and build confidence. The position also gives tutors valuable experience developing communication, leadership, and mentoring skills while supporting student success at UMA.
Faculty are encouraged to recommend students who:
- Are eligible for work-study
- Have completed the course they would tutor
- Earned a grade of B or better
- Are reliable and comfortable working with other students
