The Convocation Committee is seeking nominations for a Student Speaker at this year’s Convocation, which will be held on September 18, 2026. The student will be asked to speak for 5 minutes on the Convocation topic—Critical Thinking in the Age of AI. If you would like to nominate a student for consideration, please use the Student Speaker Nomination Form available below. If your nominee is selected, it would be helpful if you would be willing to work with that student as needed.
The deadline to nominate Student Speaker is August 28, 2026.
Additionally, as announced in May, the Convocation Committee is encouraging faculty and staff to nominate up to two Rising Scholars.
