We meet on Zoom every Tuesday from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. ET. This class is open to all UMA students and designed for real life. No experience required, no flexibility expectations, and no pressure.
You will be guided through gentle movement and breathwork with options throughout, so you can move at your own pace and listen to your body. The goal is not perfect poses, but learning simple ways to release tension, settle your nervous system, and feel more grounded.
Students often describe the class as simple but powerful.
One participant shared, “Although the practice was simple, the impact was huge.”
Another noted how even initial skepticism faded quickly, saying their partner went from unsure to feeling “pure relief in his whole body.” Many leave feeling “deeply relaxed yet energized… like it was 7 a.m. and not 7 p.m.”
What you can expect:
- A gentle, trauma-informed yoga practice — the focus is on safety, choice, and comfort
- Options for all bodies, abilities, and energy levels
- Clear guidance with no pressure to perform
- Breathwork and movement you can use beyond class
- A grounded, accessible approach, even if yoga feels unfamiliar
You do not need special equipment, prior experience, or a quiet mind. Just show up as you are. Please check the UMA calendar for Zoom link and details, and any occasional schedule updates.
As one student shared:
“You have made an effort to make yoga accessible to everyone—and for that I am thankful.”
