Beginning April 24, 2026, public universities must ensure that digital information and services meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. This applies to course materials as well as webpages, documents, forms, presentations, videos, social media, and other digital content we share as part of our work at UMA.
UMA has been preparing for this requirement for several years. The guide below outlines what this means for our community and where to find support, including resources from the Faculty Development Center for all UMA faculty and staff.
Additionally, multiple departments are offering workshops and hands-on support this semester to help faculty and staff prepare for the deadline and address questions.
