This semester’s photo contest brought in an incredible variety of images from across the world and everyday life, with 48 students and 5 faculty/staff members sharing their unique perspectives. From the breathtaking Highlands of Scotland and a glowing sunrise over Rockland Harbor, to the sweet charm of butter tarts in Quebec and the rustic character of rusty tractors, the submissions reminded us of the beauty in both the extraordinary and the familiar.
We saw winter outside a ski shop in Alta, Utah’s and ducks navigating the snow, the humor in tap dancing Santas and a cheerful “mud pig” cake, as well as powerful personal images like an epic Queen tattoo and scenes from outside Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.
