Welcome, New Employees!

Aaron Waldron, Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Aaron Waldron joins us with over 15 years of higher education experience, having worked in financial aid for the majority of that time with a few years thrown in Scotland at the University of Edinburgh in the Postgraduate Office just for fun. With an MEd in College Student Services Administration, he is keenly aware of the challenges faced by our students and is committed to making the financial aid process more accessible and to removing barriers wherever possible.  A frequent adventurer, he spends his downtime traveling whenever he can. He has visited 36 countries (37 after Vietnam this Christmas) and has been to every Disney in the world.

Aaron will be serving in the primary role of all things student-facing in the Office of Financial Aid in collaboration with Alaina Murry for phone, email, zoom, and in-person student needs. He is reachable via phone ext. 3415.

Veronica Nargi, Learning Experience Design Librarian

VeronicaUMA Libraries is excited to welcome Veronica Nargi! Veronica will join Katz Library as the Learning Experience Design Librarian. She will serve in a cross-functional capacity as a librarian but also assist faculty with course design. Veronica hails from the University of Pittsburgh’s Hillman Library (pictured here by a prop from the premiere of their George A. Romero archives collection). Although a Pennsylvania native originally from Penn State country, this will be her first time in Maine, so please send along any Maine slang translations or winter survival tips. In her spare time, Veronica likes to craft (crochet, sewing, painting) and read/listen to books. She’s excited to join the UMA Libraries team and can’t wait to work with the UMA community!
