The purpose of the Student Diversity Equity & Inclusion Action Club is:
- Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and proper representation of students on, and at, all locations of the University of Maine at Augusta both physical and virtual.
- Create an inclusive network of students at UMA of all age groups, identities, challenges, abilities, race, creed, and genetic makeup.
- Strengthen bonds among UMA students for support and representation at UMA.
- Create a safe and judgement free environment where everyone can freely express their concerns as a means to formulate and suggest solutions.
- Promote activities, events, or workshops related to themes and ideas that the club advocates for.
