First-Generation College Celebration Day

National First-Generation College Student Day is observed annually on November 8th to honor the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which expanded college access for many students. The day celebrates the achievements of first-generation students, faculty, and staff.

Join TRIO to celebrate (early) on Thursday, November 6th in Augusta, Bangor, or over Zoom and hear our first-generation faculty and staff speakers. Light refreshments provided.
