Icon of a computer monitor displaying a universal accessibility symbol of a person with outstretched arms inside a circle.

The Learning Experience Design team invites faculty and staff to a series of hands-on sessions focused on creating accessible digital content to be shared across the UMA community.

From designing accessible syllabi and document templates to interpreting PDF accessibility reports, each session provides practical strategies you can apply immediately. These are learning and working sessions, so bring your own materials and leave with concrete improvements.

March 31: Creating Authentic Assessments using Collaborative Tools

Explore how collaborative tools can support more authentic and AI-resistant assessments. In this session, we’ll look at practical strategies using tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft OneDrive/Office, and Zotero to design activities that emphasize collaboration, visible thinking, and meaningful engagement. Participants will leave with adaptable ideas they can implement in their own courses. To prepare for this workshop, please bring a reading that you use in class (either a PDF/Document).
