Jewett Auditorium Renovation Project Update

UMA’s Jewett Auditorium Renovation project has been underway since mid-December and is nearing completion. New carpeting, painting, acoustic ceiling tiles, audio-visual equipment, seating, and enlarged stage have transformed the space.

In the coming weeks, new stage lighting, entrance doors, drapes, and acoustic wall panels will be installed.

In recognition of their generous gift to the 50th Anniversary Campaign, the auditorium will be renamed the Susan and Barry Farber Forum. A formal dedication ceremony will be planned in the coming months.

Name-a-Chair Campaign

Additional funding is still needed to complete the project. A donation of $100 provides an opportunity to take part in the Name-a-Chair Campaign. Consider placing your name, the name of a loved one, or someone you would like to honor on an engraved brushed aluminum plate that will be affixed to a seat of your choice, or we can select a chair for you if you have no preference.

Thank you to those who have already purchased a chair in response to our first solicitation back in November. Although nearly one-third of available naming opportunities have been designated, (the majority who purchased a donor plate have no seat preference), there is still time to name a chair by visiting: Name-a Chair Campaign.

If you prefer to mail in your donation, you can download the Name-a-Chair donation card [PDF] and seating chart, and send your donation to the Office of University Advancement via campus or US mail.

Thank you for your consideration and for your ongoing support of UMA!
