Check out these ongoing activities hosted by Student Life that are open to all UMA students, regardless of location.

Free Coffee in the Cafes!

We’re kicking off the spring semester with a caffeine boost! Student Life, Housing, and Student Government are teaming up to help UMA students, faculty, and staff start the semester feeling recharged, energized, and ready to take on spring.

Stop by the Moose Tracks Café in Augusta or the Hungry Moose Café in Bangor during the first week of classes (January 20–23) and enjoy free coffee on us anytime the cafés are open.

Kahoot Trivia and Photo Contest return in February!

Our Weekly Kahoot Trivia and semester-long Photo Contest returns in February! Have suggestions for themes? Send ’em along to alissa.gervais@maine.edu!

If you’re new to our Kahoot Trivia: Each week we share a link to 20-25 trivia questions.  The theme varies – this semester we have everything from Song Lyrics and The Average American…  to True Crime and Medical Terminology! For each week that you play (either by using your student ID#, or “registering” a nickname with the Office of Student Life (email alissa.gervais@maine.edu) you will earn one entry into an end-of-semester raffle with lots of amazing prizes!

Photo Contest: All-Star Winner

Congratulations to Amanda Fagan who’s “Untitled” submission was selected as our All-Star Winner for Fall 2025. Her photo will be framed and hung in Eastport Hall’s Huskins Lounge on the Bangor campus – joining all our other All-Star photos!

If you’re new to our Weekly Photo Contest: Each week, we accept photo submissions based on a specific theme. You don’t need any fancy equipment and your interpretation of the themes can be as literal or as creative as you like!
