OTH 505 Impact of Mental Health on Occupational Performance
Addresses occupational therapy theory, evaluation, planning, and intervention commonly used with individuals who have mental health issues across the lifespan. The etiology, symptoms, and course of mental health conditions are integrated with analysis of occupational performance through the person-environment-occupation model of occupational therapy practice. Contextual considerations for this area of occupational therapy practice are examined, including characteristics of the individual, families and caregivers, and the mental health care system.
