UMA and Simmons University’s School of Library and Information Science have partnered to create a streamlined pathway for UMA Information & Library Science (ILS) students and alumni to earn a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS).
This innovative program allows you to fast-track your graduate degree while saving time and money, with built-in advising and support from both institutions.

- Earn your BS in ILS at UMA: Maintain a 3.0 GPA in the Information & Library Science program.
- Apply with Ease: Use the expedited application designed for UMA ILS students and alumni.
- Start Early (Optional): Enroll in up to 6 Simmons graduate credits during your final year at UMA.
- Transition Seamlessly: Upon graduation from UMA, matriculate directly into Simmons’ MSLIS program.
