The University of Maine at Augusta is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for its community members and visitors to our campus. While it is recognized that many pets are well-behaved, there are people who may have allergies or fears that could cause a pet to interfere with the ability of those individuals to complete their work or studies.

It is the policy of the University of Maine at Augusta that pets (except fish) are not normally allowed in University buildings. This policy does not apply to service animals brought to campus to provide assistance to persons with disabilities.
