The University of Maine at Augusta has several state-of-the-art Computer Labs & Classrooms available for student use as well as for classes and training.

The labs are always available for walk-in student use during their operating hours. The labs are never scheduled for classes or workshops, in order for students to always know they have a quiet place to study and do homework. The classrooms have 30 computers and 1 instructor station with projection equipment.

Printing is available from the computer labs/classrooms through UMA’s Pay-For-Print program. Printing in black and white costs 4 cents per page; color printing is 10 cents per page. To print, you will need to choose one of these options:

  • Add money to your UMA ID card at the Cash Value Center located in Randall Student Center (Augusta) or Belfast Hall Library (Bangor) NOTE:  you must add at least $1.
  • Add money to your UMA ID card on the Web at www.uma.edu/about/umacard/adding-value/    NOTE: you must add at least $5
  • Buy a guest card at the Cash Value Center located in Randall Student Center (Augusta) or Belfast Hall Library (Bangor). NOTE: you pay $5 to get a card with $2 of printing value.

Katz Library Student PC Lab

The Katz Library Student PC Lab ​is always available for use by currently registered students of the University of Maine System. Faculty and staff of the University of Maine System are also welcome to use the lab. Using these computers requires a current MaineStreet ID. Room 127 Randall Student Technology Center Student MAC Lab

Room 1​27 of the Randall Student Technology Center is both an instructional MAC classroom and used as a student MAC lab. Access is by a signed pass, available from the instructors. Using these computers requires a current MaineStreet ID. Hours of lab availability change with each semester and are posted outside the MAC lab on the door. When classes are not meeting, the room is available for use for students with a signed pass from their instructor.
