Investing in your education is a major financial decision, and we know that the cost often affects choices. When budgeting for your education, keep in mind that there are two types of costs associated with cost of attendance. Direct costs such as tuition (and housing if you live on campus) are expenses charged to you by and payable to University of Maine Augusta. Indirect costs such as food and housing (if you live off campus), books, transportation, and personal expenses are costs associated with being a student, but are expenses not charged to you by the University.

Direct Costs

Tuition and fees are set each year by the Board of Trustees. Tuition and fees can vary based on residency status, academic program and your enrollment, as UMA assesses tuition rates per credit hour. For specific information on University of Maine Augusta tuition, fees, housing, meal plans and other related charges, please refer to the University’s Tuition and Fees.

Indirect Costs

Living Expenses and Books

Living expenses and books are not actually expenses charged by University of Maine Augusta. Rather, the amounts are an estimate of other indirect educational costs. The amount you spend depends upon your personal situation and choices. The information below is based on full-time Fall & Spring term enrollment.
