Just off I-295 and located across from Marketplace Mall and other amenities of Maine’s Capital city, the Augusta Campus offers our very popular Fireplace Lounge in Randall Student Technology Center and Jewett Hall Auditorium.

Facility & Room Set-ups

The configuration of your room contributes to the comfort of your participants and the effectiveness of the event. We will help you choose the atmosphere, location, and room type that best meet the needs of your event. We’ll also help you choose the set-up that matches your needs and make sure it’s ready to go when your group arrives.

Having a hard time envisioning a specific set-up? We can give you access to our floor plans so you can plan your rental space according to your events specific needs.

Technology

We can coordinate Polycom service giving you the flexibility to meet and collaborate with colleagues and partners by simultaneous two-way video and audio transmission.

WiFi – Today’s conference attendees expect to be able to use their laptops, smartphones, or iPads. Your participants can check their email, update their blogs, upload pictures, and post on Facebook or Twitter.

AV – We offer professional audiovisual equipment with personal attention, reliability, and support.

  • Knowledgeable AV technicians
  • Projectors and screens
  • Computer equipment
  • Wired and wireless microphones
  • Polycom/ZOOM

Directions and Parking

We will provide campus maps and coordinate parking for event attendees.

Security

We can arrange for Campus Security or Augusta Police Officers to provide security for your event (additional charges may apply).

Policies

Because of limited space, the University is only able to accommodate non-university groups and organizations on a limited basis.

Access to University facilities by a non-profit agency or organization for a meeting open to the public or for a public educational purpose that is consistent with the University’s mission is permitted. Such events are subject to room use fees for Non-Profit organizations (details available below).

Use of University facilities for purely commercial activities, political or fund-raising activities for a particular candidate, or activities inconsistent with the University’s mission are permitted on a case-by-case basis. Such use is subject to room use fees for For-Profit organizations.

Please note that if the campus is closed due to unforeseen circumstances, all activities and events are canceled as well. Information will normally be broadcast on local television stations and posted on UMA’s website. In the event of deteriorating conditions during the day, every effort is made to give two hours’ notice of any cancellations. Weather conditions and concerns for safety may sometimes require shorter notice. You may also call 621-3000 for up-to-date information about the status of campus opening or closing.
