Designed to align with UMA’s Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program, this Early College pathway offers high school students the opportunity to prepare for a program for which there is a strong need in the workforce. The field of MLT is a great choice for students with strong multitasking, analytical, and technical skills who are interested in working in healthcare in clinical laboratory settings, working both independently and collaboratively

The MLT Program of Maine was created as a collaborative effort between the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the University of Maine at Augusta in cooperation with hospitals across the state that serve as clinical affiliates.
